I know he's been around forever but I've really gotten into reading his stuff lately. Way too interventionist in foreign policy for my tastes but I agree with him on a lot of issues. His takes on Nixon, Reagan, Kissinger and that crowd are classic. Use the Google.

The election for Britain was called 2 days ago and it shall be my first vote in a general election. We are either going to see no party in control or the Conservatives in control.

While American elections are an epic battle between good and evil, last years, draw thousands to rallies, British elections are far smaller and only last a month! Britain does not have big rallies or personality cults either. Rather different.

As far as healthcare goes, pretty much a step sideways. But a sidestep away from the oncoming bus full of dipshits. I'm glad the bill was passed. I do think they can improve it.

Also, Obama hammered this thing home in a way I'm not sure Hillary could have...I could be wrong.

It was great to see Pelosi...lemme rephrase that. It was great to see the repugs get smacked down by Pelosi. I'm hearing less of the "incompetent" scud being launched.

The downside is that it's apparently not the best bill in the world...If you're a woman. Weird how a bunch of old dudes got that in there.

Still, some people don't get the picture:

We need a lot of things. Yes, we do need health care reform, just not in the form of a super large, deep dish, meat lovers pizza with everything, and no one knows the true ingredients.

Have you read or do you understand the proposed and shoved down our throats health care bill? And you were going to explain how it will cost us (the working class) less money?

There IS NO public option in this bill. They are attempting to pass it without a vote. 73% of Americans say we should SCRAP this bill and start over. All are kinda red flags and those that think it should be implemented as it is are just plain wrong.

What happened to the "move on" agreement?

by 'bad format', I meant the proposed bill. My family, in the short term (in 5 years when the benefits of the bill would begin) would...

Sorry for not posting much lately. I don't get much time to write and when I do I'm overpowered by, for lack of a better term, the stupid. Everytime I see Sarah Palin I just feel like the dumb, horny, reptile people are winning...Sorta like the guy in No Country for Old Men - instead of a daunting evil it's a daunting stupid.

It was nice to see a Republican come out of the closet for a change.

Why can't Democrats just lay it down like this? When it comes to things such as helping the disadvantaged and universal healthcare, the Democrats have the obvious morality behind them but are utterly useless at putting it across. It�is so frustrating, Obama needs to get some balls.

So anyway, I wrote this long post defending Obama and somehow erased it. In lieu of writing it again here's a little back and forth from FB that outlines my "Axelrod theory".
