For duty I carried a S&W model 59 9mm. For target shooting (I shot DX) I favored a S&W 357 mag, 6" barrel. I went to a lighter version of the same
pistol, model 14 w/6" barrel, with target sites and grips.

Favourite sidearm.
I used to love my 9 mm Berretta. Very pretty, not too heavy, highly polished and not much kickback. Until the ex took it away. I only ever used it for target shooting in my basement with a few strawbales to absorb the bullets. Honest! I did get very accurate with it though, at short range, like 50 feet, which was the length of my basement.
